Greetings from Three Rivers Stocking!
We are starting to raise funds for our October 2024 stocking. With our annual auction becoming cumbersome and costly we have been searching out new ways to raise money. In 2023 we received generous support from many donors through the Orvis Give Back Days raising $14,000 with Orvis’ added support. We continue to apply for grants from the Fuller Foundation, Bass Pro Shops and others. Already in 2024 we raised over $10,000 at our spring social thanks to our supporting business’ and generous supporters! Kittery Trading Post has continued to provide generous donations made possible through their roundup for conservation efforts. Thank you to Newick’s Lobster House in Dover for hosting this event! Please remember to support our supporters and thank them for supporting Three Rivers Stocking! We also received support from countless individuals who donated as well. Thank you to everyone who continues to donate!

Over the last few years Three Rivers Stocking has spent about $30,000 annually to stock the Cocheco, Isinglass, Lamprey, and Exeter rivers with large rainbow, brown, and brook trout. Once again this year due to rapidly increasing costs we are preparing to spend up to $35,000 to try to maintain the stocking levels that you have come to expect.

Again this year we are hoping that our online fund-raising initiative will be successful.

So, what’s in it for you? If you’re interested in quality fall and winter fishing, continuing this great program, keeping a pristine environment, and supporting Project Healing Waters for veterans – we need you to donate to help buy fish!

Some examples (2022 prices):

• A single 13” Brookie costs $10.00!
• A single 14” Brown costs $15.00!
• A single 14″ Rainbow costs $9.00!
• A single 22” whopper of a Rainbow costs up to $25.00!

We ended up spending around $31,400 stocking 2,931 fish for the 2023-2024 season. In preparation for this Octobers stocking we will be applying for grants, and will once again be counting on your continued support. So, how many trout can you buy? We’ve all had the joy of catching and releasing many of the fish we stock.
